buhay tamad : day 4 Foursome Day

So yesterday was the last day of my "4-day Lazy mode me" and it was the not so lazy day among all of them. I get to spend time with my daughter and my long time friend Jocelyn and her daughter. It's was the first time we saw each other after graduating from college 8 years ago. Time flies by so fast, she already have two kids, Maru 8 and Julia 4. Jocelyn was one of my closest friends way back then and it's so nice to know that after 8 years of almost no communication and not seeing each other, nothing was changed at all between our friendship.
Like Ruby (whose my other best friend), Jocelyn also is the quiet type, so that makes us opposites. And as the old saying goes, opposites attract :). We never fail to share a lot of laughter, tears and stories about each others lives and we never get tired of them. Maybe that's what true friends are, you don't have to be together always to feel that you value, care and love each other.
So Jocelyn was the one who treated us for that girls day-out yesterday. We ate at Kenny Roger's, then played some arcade games with the little girls. As always, I'm Lorie, the uber so broke friend :D but Jo understands and feels it. So I promised her that the next it will be my treat and we are looking forward to spend it also with the rest of our  college friends (with their kids, too)
I came home very tired but very happy. And I will always be thankful that I have Jocelyn as my friend. ♥

buhay tamad: Day 3 (2nd entry for the day)

So yeah, the planned date with Jocelyn didn't push through 'coz my little one would allow me to go without her. And so we decided to just go out tomorrow with my Angelika and her Julianna, Jo's treat! weeee.!!! It's payday today yes, and yet I feel so broke again. I have a lot of expenses and payables to take care of. It's really hard if you're expected to take care of everything in order to survive everyday life... well that's how it is and how it's gonna be always...
Later this afternoon after our "siesta"time, I decided to treat Angelika with a serving of ice cream (she's been begging and bugging me for days now about it). So there we go, we went food tripping! We saw a provent (coated fried chicken gizzard) stand and helped out ourselves with a mouthful then ice cream then lollipops! Feels good that my daughter, unlike most kids now feels contented and happy with simple things like this. I hope she'll be like this as she grows older.
Tonight I'm writing this entry and for some unexplainable reason I'm feeling sad..I really don't know why...

buhay tamad: Day 3

Wow why didn't I start blogging since day 1? Maybe because I was too lazy to do it. I filed for a leave for two days after my 2-day scheduled rest day for this week. And now it's day 3 and what have I accomplished so far? NOTHING. Been making the most out of it by being in front of the computer and sleeping half of the day (which I am so deprived of when I have work). The good thing of course is I get to spend a lot of time with my daughter (inside our house of course, because i'm brutally broke!).
Today is also payday, and there goes my sad face again after checking my salary online. Ive been computing all my expenses for the past days and checking if my salary will make it till my birthday celebration on November 6 (my bday is really November 8 but since it was planned by Ydah, I will have a pre-bday celeb). Kinda hard to budget now (as always) since I have a lot of things to pay for and also have to allot a budget for my allowance and birthday. So help me God with this. (fingers crossed)!
Today I'm planning to meet with my college BFF Jocelyn Reyes, maybe have lunch or early dinner together and get to talk about a lot of things. We have a lot of catching up to do.

Thanks Boss Mickey

Since last July was a bad month for me..I ended up being on CSAT Bridge (which of course, was not a good thing :( )..I had to push harder to get 80% and above for my CSAT scores in the next two months so the bridge will be cleansed. One good thing about being on CSAT bridge were the numerous coaching sessions with COmm Coaches (weeee!! pull out from the queue!) and also because of this I was able to personally meet and talk with SDM Mickey Santos. At first I didn't like him, maybe because he dresses up "weird" for me (parang hiphop) hehehe..and he seem to be so quiet and not so approachable.. But I was proven wrong. He's really easy to get along with and fun to talk with as well. He's always often for feedbacks and questions whenever I have anything to raise. Lately he's a regular Pandion chatmate as I may say and though I'm not on CSAT bridge anymore, I still come up to him if ever I have questions or concerns. Since I got 90% on my 2nd month on being on Bridge , and I was cleased from being on PIP, as a simple reward, today, he brought this tall cup of Capuccino on my station with the note "No More BElow 80%" ( he means on the CSAT scores)...that's bringing pressure with a smile =). Well I really thank him for this, I appreciate such simple yet meaningful way of saying one is thankful for the effort I exerted for my own improvement. And I'm looking forward to a beautiful friendship (kahit Boss pa siya sa 24/7) and a nice working relationship with him :) .
